On Saturday 15th July, Adkin Brewery of Wantage was presented a CAMRA Special Award by the White Horse Branch. The award is both to celebrate ten years of brewing in Wantage and to respect the brewery’s unfortunate recent decision to cease commercial brewing; new tax requirements have made it unviable for such a small enterprise. Adkin are, thankfully, still able to provide both cask and bottled beer for home consumption. See their web site for details.
