Wantage Beer And Cider Festival 2020
UPDATE (Thursday evening): Our festival is still ON. We have followed guidance and put extra hygiene measures in place. We have received no advice to cancel. If we do receive that advice we will follow it. The welfare of our customers, volunteers, staff at the Beacon and anyone else present is our only concern. If you are showing any signs of the latest symptoms – a fever or ‘continuous’ cough’ – please, please do not attend, follow Government advice and self isolate. We are hoping to welcome everyone else to another fabulous festival, the beer we tapped this evening is amazing!
The 10th Wantage Beer and Cider Festival will take place from 11AM until 11PM on Friday the 13th and 11AM until 10PM on Saturday the 14th of March 2020, at the Beacon, Portway, Wantage, OX12 9BY. 28 real ales from throughout the country will be available, together with 4 ciders and 2 perrys. Food and soft drinks will be on sale, and there is parking at the venue.
Admission will be £2 (£3 Friday 5-11) for the general public, but free to card-carrying CAMRA members; under 21’s will need to show some ID. Glass hire is £2, and festival glasses will be available.
All Six Nations rugby games were to have been shown live on Saturday, but it seems that now only the Wales vs Scotland match at 2:15PM will go ahead. Fortunately, local musician Neil Dwerryhouse, “The man with the stereo hands!”, will be performing live at 8PM on Friday
