The Radnor Arms in Coleshill has been reopened by Simon Maddison. Simon took on the lead role to restore The Radnor Arms after it closed its doors in January. His aim was to raise funds with a consortium of close friends and additional funds though local crowdfunding. ‘Communities need these important social 3rd spaces’ he remarked, along with the village church and shop, school etc it’s what binds a community’.

Fortunately for Simon, fellow Director and head chef Jack Richardson lives in the village and his mother farms the organic walled garden on the Coleshill Estate. ‘It’s a no-brainer that we should source our produce locally and support other artisan producers, including our ales and cider’ remarked Jack. ‘We have Cotswold Cider from the Village and ales from Cricklade’s Hop Kettle brewery and Barbus Barbus from Butts Brewery. As a freehouse we’ll be able to experiment with our ale choices, but using local smaller breweries fits with our sustainable supply chain vision.

The National Trust village Coleshill has an incredible history and is a stunning model Victorian farming village and The Radnor Arms sits perfectly in the middle. With its unique setting, country Inn ale house interior, log fires and fine local ales , it really does make The Radnor Arms a perfect country pub.

The pub officially opened for drinks and food on June 20th.
